Minelab Excalibur II 1000 Underwater Metal Detector, 10 inch coil, beach, land, underwater.. Most detectors on the market use a single or dual frequencies. This one has BBS circuit which automatically transmits on 17 frequencies instead of one as a lot of detectors do.  This allows the Excalibur II  to locate targets in the most challenging conditions such as high mineralization and trash on beach, underwater, land. The low frequency electro-magnetic (EM)  fields deeply penetrate the ground but sensitivity to smaller objects is low. The high frequency ranges have less depth but sensitivity to smaller objects is  high. The Excalibur II's multiple frequency operation provides the advantages of both.
This has very little use.  The original owner used it a couples days and I as the 2nd owner didn't use it at all due to walking problems. About as close to new as possible. .  About the best technology you can find and best condition with very little use. Selling as is where is.
Included is a  floppy with the sounds a Excalibur II produces by various  targets so you can learn to recognize what the target is.
