Launched on June 3, 1965, atop a Titan II rocket, this spacecraft carried astronauts James McDivitt and Edward White on a groundbreaking mission. The mission's highlight was Edward White's historic spacewalk, becoming the first American to perform extravehicular activity (EVA).
